Welcome to my little corner of the internet!

I hope you will get something useful out of what I have here.

I'm going to be doing more here, so stop by once in a while.

To begin...

First off, allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Ethan, and I'm a Yooper who loves corvids, languages, computers, nature, (a.k.a. God's creation) and music, not necessarily in that order!

But more than anything I love my Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ!  The one who made it all!

Shavian material

Shavian is a new alphabet designed especially for the English language.  If you are interested in Shavian, and are looking for reading material, check out my Shavian alphabet Bible.  This project will be ongoing for some time.  I also have a couple of Shavian fonts available.

Bible translations

Here is a new section on the issue of Bible translations.  Can you trust the Word of God?  How do you know if a book which claims to be God's Word is really what it claims to be?  I shall have information here which deals with that issue, and with the issue of what constitutes a reliable translation of God's Word.

A Yooper is someone who lives in the Upper Peninsula (U.P.) of Michigan.  The name Yooper was, as far as I know, coined in more recent years by a musical group called "Da Yoopers".  When I was a kid, we called ourselves "U.P.'ers"!  I think "Yooper" is a lot better sounding term! (back)
